A New Season of Leadership

It is with sadness that I announce that Phil Long, president of Global Action, is standing down from his role as of May 15th.  Phil feels that God has called him onto a new season of ministry and has started a new job in South Carolina, USA.  However, he will continue serving Global Action as a board member in the States.  He has passed the mantle of leadership to Robert Koerper (or “RJ”, as he’s known), who will begin full duties on the same date.

Phil has been an excellent president for Global Action, and over the course of his tenure God has used him greatly to bring training and support to many hundreds of leaders around the world.  We are very sad to see him go.  However, we wish Phil well in his new post.  We are nevertheless excited that God has brought RJ to work with us, and believe that God will use him to further develop the great work carried out under Phil’s leadership.  RJ has a long history in training church leaders and is excited about what he can add to our curriculum and training methods.  I will feature an article introducing RJ in our next newsletter.   In the meantime, please pray for Phil, RJ and Global Action as we make this important transition.  Below I include Phil’s message to all our friends and supporters around the world.

Thank you for all your prayerful support.  Please continue to keep Phil and RJ in your prayers at this time.

God bless,

Euan Woolley

Dear friends,

I trust that my email finds you well and blessed! This last month or so has been an extremely busy time for me. As some of you already know, this is a new season that Shary and I have entered into and a new season of leadership for Global Action. I am excited to continue with my involvement but in a new role within the global family of Global Action (as a board member and as an ambassador for Global Action).  You will be hearing from all if us with more details soon but I just to tell you how much I've appreciated your support, prayers and friendship over the last 4 1/2 years since coming to Global Action!

As I write this prayer newsletter, I am happy to see how all our leaders and staff continue to serve and work hard to train and equip pastors for effective ministry. We just graduated one more class in Ukraine; our work in Central America is as strong as ever; we graduated another class in Delhi, India; and, we have more requests to bring our training to new locations and countries!

All this is happening because of God's favor, the hard work of our staff and leaders, and because of the faithful support from friends like you! Thank you!
