Our Mission

The Gap

Christian leaders lack access to the theological education they need.

9 out of 10 pastors in the world have no formal biblical training.

Poverty, persecution, and other factors make it impossible for most of these leaders to attend a traditional Bible college or seminary. They simply lack access.

Without biblical training, these pastors face great challenges. Churches struggle, the gospel is frequently distorted, communities remain broken, and the lost remain unengaged.

Rather than simply asking for more material support or missionaries, churches in the hard places of the world are asking for biblical leadership training so they can transform their own communities with the gospel.

Our Mission

We equip leaders in hard places to transform their communities with the gospel.

Global Action is dedicated to equipping pastors and leaders with a solid foundation in the Word of God, so they can lead healthy churches that transform their communities and reach the world with the Gospel.

Our Approach

We believe that pastors and ministry leaders are the key to mobilizing the global church for mission. These leaders already speak the language, understand the culture, have deep relationships and spheres of influence—they are uniquely positioned for impact in places that Western missionaries would have trouble accessing! They just need training.

Global Action is standing in the gap by equipping these pastors and ministry leaders with a foundational theological education. Our Foundations programme (also called GLOMOS, for “Global Module Studies”) systematically and thoroughly equips Christian leaders to interpret Scripture, preach the true gospel, lead like Christ, make disciples, and transform their communities with the gospel.

We believe that equipping and resourcing local churches and pastors in the poorest parts of the world is the most sustainable way to spread the gospel and impact communities. Healthy churches are the hands and feet of Christ: they make disciples, feed the poor, care for orphans, dig wells, provide medical care for the sick, model healthy families, and more. This is sustainable charity!

Foundations Programme

Our 9-month programme, Foundations, is conducted in an accessible modular format using qualified international faculty, who emphasise the practical skills leaders need to apply Scripture to life and ministry. Our students learn how to understand, teach, and live out the true gospel. Their lives and ministries are transformed forever.

Foundations covers the following topics:

  • Christ and the Biblical Story

  • Intro to the Old Testament

  • Intro to the New Testament

  • Biblical Interpretation

  • Bible Doctrines

  • Effective Teaching

  • Healthy Churches

  • Biblical Leadership

  • Community Transformation

We have 130 highly qualified international faculty members who teach in our programme, 120 of whom are from the Global South. These faculty members possess innate cultural competency, aiding in the appropriate contextualisation of the material to the local context.
