Revd Dr Ian Randall

Chairman

Dr Ian Randall is a Baptist minister who has taught church history and spirituality since the early 1990s. He was based for much of that time in London at Spurgeon’s College, and in Prague where he supervised post-graduate students from across Central and Eastern Europe. In 2008 he moved to Cambridge, where he has combined theological and pastoral involvements. Ian has had a long-term interest in the study of movements of spiritual renewal and of missional initiatives. He is the author of numerous books, essays and articles relating to these areas. He continues to research and publish extensively.

 
 

Rev Dr Seidel Abel Boanerges

Trustee

Seidel is a Baptist Minister and the Dean of Ministerial Formation at Spurgeon’s College. He teaches in the areas of Christian mission, evangelism, apologetics, world religions, homiletics and ministerial training. He is also the Moderator of the Baptist Union Council and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AdvanceHE). He holds a professional doctorate (DMin) in practical theology from the University of Chester.

 
 
 
 
 

Philip Powell

Trustee

Philip Powell serves as the Theology and Network Engagement Manager with Tearfund, where he is also the Co-Director of the Global Justice Conference. He previously worked as Training Manager at the Jubilee Centre in Cambridge, where he was responsible for developing and leading the online course Bible & Public Life, the annual Social Reformers Summer Gathering in Cambridge, and the SAGE Graduate Leadership Programme. He has travelled to over thirty countries and lectures on biblical worldview and Christian ethics. He has also worked for several NGOs in the field of campaigning, advocacy and leadership development. He has an MSc in Politics and International Relations from Royal Holloway, UK.

 

Dr Lionel Young III

Trustee

Lionel serves as the Executive Vice President for Global Action USA. Lionel holds a PhD from the University of Stirling (Scotland) where he did his research on the history of global Christianity under the distinguished historian, David W. Bebbington. Lionel also holds a ThM from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Ecclesiastical History), an MDiv from Grace Theological Seminary (Pastoral Theology), and a BA from Grace College (Biblical Studies). He served as a pastor for more than 30 years in the United States, and he has also served in theological institutions in various parts of Africa, Asia, and Oceania. He also works as a research associate at the Cambridge Centre for Christianity Worldwide.

Ruth MacLean

Administrator

Ruth MacLean serves as Administrator for Global Action UK. She has a BA (Hons) in Education from Durham University and a PGCert in Information and Library Studies from Aberystwyth University. She also serves as Librarian of the Cambridge Centre for Christianity Worldwide, a rich collection of World Christianity and mission resources for postgraduates, visiting researchers and church leaders around the world. A child of missionaries to Turkish speaking peoples, Ruth has grown up with a strong passion for mission and the church. This is shared by her husband, a preaching elder in their church, CFO, and soon to be President of Westminster Seminary UK. In many ways like Global Action, Westminster Seminary UK provides biblical, practical and missionary-minded theological training to prepare men for the ministry across Europe, and to the ends of the earth.

Bailey Bada

Advisory Member

Bailey serves as the Director of Partner Relations for Global Action USA. Bailey holds a BA in International Languages from Grace College, and is currently pursuing an MA in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary. With fluency in multiple languages, Bailey is passionate about using her gifts to help spread the gospel around the world. Bailey resides in Indiana, USA and actively serves in her local church and community. Bailey founded and leads an ESL ministry at her church for the many English learners in her city.

 

Euan Woolley

Advisory Member

Euan previously served as Programme Coordinator for Global Action UK. During this time, he worked with supporters in the UK to help train leaders in Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America, both by giving and by serving on short term missions. Euan works as a psychologist and has an interest in the intersection between Christianity and psychology. He is married to Amanda, and they have two daughters. They currently live in Darlington.
